DD2018 is underway!

One week down, seven more to go! The course last night was in great shape. Thanks to all who came out to join in the fun. Results are up on the results tab for your viewing pleasure.

Big thanks to our race sponsors Tom Mahnke Realty & Austin Tri Cyclist. Tom is our go to for anything real estate and ATC is your one stop shop for all things bike (Plus running and swimming if you like to dabble in other sports).

See you next week!

Dirt Derby is back for 2018

It’s under 100 degrees, so that can only mean one thing.. Dirt Derby season is just around the corner!

We’ll be starting back up on October 2 following the usual schedule. The plan is to run for 8 weeks with two rain out dates if need be. All you need on race day is some cash and a helmet (and a bike) and you’re ready to race Dirt Derby. No license required. All the nitty gritty details are on the other pages, so please explore the site. If you have any question just shoot us an email or reach out on Facebook (you’ll receive the fastest response on FB).

One Week until Hell X!

We’re officially ONE week out. If you haven’t started training, better late than never! Here’s the schedule:

6:00 Texas Cyclocross Project Kids Race
6:30 B “Long” Race ~40mins
7:20 A “Longer” Race ~1hr or until dark

All bikes are welcome and race together, but we recommend a CX or MTB bike.

$15 for the first race or $20 for both A & B. As with all our events, 18U are free. If you plan on making all the races check out the season pass in our previous post.

Try to make it 20-30 mins before start time so you have time to register. Make sure you have a helmet. Drink plenty of water (starting the day before). We keep it as low key as possible, so just be ready for some friendly and fun Texas summer racing!

Hell X is back for 2018

Were back, better than ever, and ready to get some racing going! First race goes down on Tuesday June 5th and we’ll be racing for four weeks again this year. Same schedule as previous years with first race at 6:30 for about 40 minutes and second race at 7:20 going until dark.

Update for 2018! We’re working to put together a kid’s option at Hell X with the help of Texas Cyclocross Project! Kids and juniors are always welcome to run the full races at Hell X, but racing for 45 (or 70) minutes can be tough, especially for newer riders. With that in mind we’ve teamed up with Mike and the gang to put together a shorter, and of course still free, option for our newer juniors. More details to come as we get closer to June.

Keep putting in the base miles and we’ll see you in a few months!

Season Finale Time

Yup, end of the season already. Our final race of the 2017 Dirt Derby is this Tuesday, Nov 28th. We’ll be following the usual schedule.

Shout out to our race sponsors Austin Tri Cyclist and Tom Mahnke Realty. Big thanks to our other sponsors including Chumba Cycles, Team YEAH!, Pickle Juice Sport, Bike Farm and ADVMX Park(home of the Dirt Derby).

See you Tuesday!

Two More Races in 2017!!!

Hey Dirt Derby people, TWO more races left this season! Tuesday November 21st and Tuesday November 28th.

We’ll be running a modified schedule on Nov 21st. Beginner race and Austin Tri Cyclist Open Race will go off per usual schedule, but the Intermediate MTB & Tom Mahnke Realty Intermediate CX will be combined into one long (45ish min) relay starting at 7:00. Relay teams will consist of two racers alternating laps. One person will do the MTB course and one person will do the CX course. $10 per team ($5/person) & BYOB (Bring your own baton, feel free to be creative). If you don’t have a partner don’t worry, we’ll assign you one at the time of the race.

See you Tuesday!

10/31/17 Race Cancelled

Hey racers, in anticipation of the 50 degree rain at race time in the forecast for tomorrow (10/31) we’re going ahead and cancelling.

Don’t worry about missing out on racing though, we’re tacking on another rain out date and will get our full 8 week season. Dirt Derby will pick back up on Tuesday Nov 7th and race every Tuesday until the season finale on Tuesday November 28th.
